file under, things i dont read in the paper enough.
Teen calls drug search invasive
...in other words, "in da butt."White, also 17, who was also against the wall, said another officer pulled down his pants and underwear and also swiped between his buttocks. People on the street could see the officers' actions, he said, which he described as humiliating.
"He swiped like a Visa," White said.
...
But a search between a person's buttocks doesn't qualify as a body-cavity search, Narcisse said.
"A cavity search means in that person's rectum," he said.

while i am not a card holding democrat, im pretty disgusted w/ the republican bulljive the past many years (since when did republicans support domestic spying, and granting immunity to business? i thought they were all about accountability and privacy? *and* they dont believe in global warming!? losers).
so now its obama or clinton for me. if all things were equal, id get a kick out of breaking the glass ceiling and seeing a woman in office (and make history w/ the first husband-wife presidential couple), but all things *arent* equal. clinton plays dirty, takesbribes special interest money, and is basically one of the Old Boys.
this takes 20 minutes. but it may change your mind.

san diego visit was good...spent most of my time hanging out w/ my winona friends. the pirate party was also a lot of fun -- definitely something to be experienced.
went surfing for the first time. funny that it would be when im living thousands of miles away, instead of when i lived a block away from the beach & w/ surf boards in the house. challenging but fun.
question -- does anybody know anything about the new orleans "Endless Night" party? its on saturday at the wax museum, says its the 10th year. $25 w/ LA id, $40 w/o. could be interesting, but the last fetish even i went to had maybe 2 people at it (was at the howling wolf last year).

...let me know if ya have.

as if you needed another reason not to vote for a man whose parents somehow misspelled Matt...
at an event marketed as "Ask Mitt ANYTHING", mormon presidential candidate romney is asked by a wheelchair-bound muscular dystrophy patient if romney's policies would have him & his doctors arrested for medical marijuana use. romney suggested synthetics, to which the patient said they dont work. romney then says he doesnt support it, but refuses to answer Yes/No, instead awkwardly blowing him off while trying to shake hands w/ other people.

(some of those people asked him to answer the question, which i applaud).

friday nite at the hi-ho was fun. after hours of suspense Gito Gito Hustler finally came on around 2am -- japanese all-girl punk band. didnt play much more than 45 mins, but cool. opening band was a dirty neil diamond karoke sort... i liked the idea of such a thing but they dont quite have it. interestingly, their site is like, one-click-from-pr0n.
over the weekend we watched nbc's Heroes. i dont mean one epidode -- i mean *all* of em! except for a couple of season 2, finally feel asleep before finishing those.
it is quite excellent. first couple episodes were slow to start, but then i just couldnt turn it off, one cliff hanger after another. its also rare for me to root for a show or movie's heroes, often find myself rooting for the villians instead. not this one -- sylar was such an effective villain i wanted him dead. wow!
check it out.
